A family group is simply a group of people that do life together. These people, over time, become an oikos–an extended family on mission. The setting of a family group (oftentimes in someone’s home) provides a relaxed and inviting atmosphere where the hospitality of the household opens people up relationally, emotionally, and spiritually. Learning happens within the community. An important part of a family group is the meal (very much influenced by the Alpha Course), usually held before any teaching or time of prayer begins, thus providing a foundation of trust and friendship to build upon.
Family groups are either geographically oriented or relationally oriented through a social network and can consist of several generations. For more information email email@example.com or (210) 853-5788.
